Larry needed a new website to improve the appearance of his brand online and to attract more locksmith customers in the northside of Melbourne. We worked with Larry to create a website to build trust and visibility so Larry could get more traffic and customers from search engines.
Larry had a basic website and a new logo and wanted to redesign his website to get more customers through organic search results and outrank established competitors. Larry also wanted a great looking and professional website that would appeal to new customers once they arrived at the website.
We kicked off the project with research into the competitors in the locksmithing industry to see what they were doing, what was working well for them and any opportunities we could pursue to get Larry the best results.
With keyword list and strategy in hand, we built out the website framework with the focus on these opportunities.
We took a content-first approach and created locally optimised and keyword targeted website pages and content which would funnel the visitors to the successful conversion.
We met up with Larry for a quick photoshoot to use his profile picture to establish trust with his potential customers.
The website design was structured around the key goal of getting website visitors to call Larry the Locksmith. We positioned the phone number prominently on both desktop and mobile devices so it’s always easily viewable from any page. Other elements on the page were created to convey Larry’s services effectively, showcase his service area and build trust.
The overall website design was modern, bold and clean with a style that compliments the Larry the Locksmith brand.
Within 6 months after the new website launched, the website page views had grown by over 120% and the bounce rate was reduced by 27%.
Larry’s website quickly outranked key competitors for local search terms which has resulted in Larry receiving an increased volume of calls from customers within his service area.
In the year following the new website launch, Larry’s traffic from search engines doubled and the bounce rate was reduced by over 31%.
Without any additional marketing, Larry has been able to get a consistent and growing customer base through the calls received via the website ranking highly in Google search.
